Deconstructed Georgian Wing Chair, Linen & Leather

On this deconstructed Georgian wing chair the upholsterer's work stays on view: raw frame edges run around the wings and back, the outside is wrapped in burlap held by rows of tacks, and nothing pretends to be finished past the point it needs to be. It is the Georgian wing form taken back to its bones.

Inside, the treatment turns comfortable - tufted natural linen up the back and wings, a Cuba Brown leather seat where wear actually happens, and front casters so the chair rolls toward the fire and back again. It stands 43 inches tall on a 32 by 33 inch footprint, a proper full-height wing.

This is a chair for rooms that mix periods; the exposed construction keeps a formal silhouette from taking itself too seriously.

Leather: Cuba Brown. Color variation is common and acceptable on vintage leather.

This piece is delivered white glove: scheduled in advance, brought to the room of your choice, fully assembled, packaging removed.

A two-person team handles placement and setup, and your piece is inspected together with you before they leave.
