A Different Way to Buy Fine Furniture

Buying furniture online should be simple. Choosing the right piece almost never is. Which style suits the room? Does the price reflect the quality? How do you tell one online furniture company from another, and how do you know which ones to trust?

We are EGA HOME, formerly English Georgian America. Same business, same people, shorter name, and a genuine passion for fine furniture backed by deep knowledge of the antiques and design of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. These are the questions we have spent years answering for designers, architects, and homeowners who care about getting it right.

Curated, Not Aggregated

We are selective about what we offer. Every piece in our collection has been chosen with intention, drawing on more than twenty years of trade experience and direct relationships with the makers we represent.

We Know the Makers

Every craftsman we represent is someone we have a real relationship with. If you have a question about construction, finish options, or lead times, and we don't know already, we quickly contact our partners and get you a real answer.

Custom with Real Guidance

Finish samples, COM fabric, custom sizing, made-to-order programs: we walk you through every option because we know what each workshop offers. That kind of guidance requires knowing the product, not just listing it.

14-Day Price Promise

If the price on any item drops within 14 days of your purchase, we credit you the difference. No conditions, no haggling. Buy when you're ready. The timing shouldn't cost you.

White Glove Standard

White glove in-home delivery is our standard. Scheduled appointment, two-person professional crew, room placement, full assembly, packaging removal, and a final walk-through. If a different arrangement suits your needs, just ask.

One Person Responsibility

From purchase to delivery, there's a person at EGA who knows your order. If something comes up, you call us directly at 855-899-3466. Not a support ticket. Not a chat bot. A person who can actually help.

How We Got Here

The company was founded by Dan Salk, formerly a partner in the respected New York antique firm George N Antiques. Working alongside some of the world's leading interior designers and architects, all of whom share a commitment to quality, Dan saw a gap in the trade. "Although there are other makers of antique style furniture, they weren't focused on quality, authenticity or design to the degree I felt they should."

That observation led to a partnership with London's leading cabinet makers to produce traditional English furniture of unrivaled authenticity and craftsmanship. Today, from our base in Westwood, New Jersey, we bring that same standard to everything we offer: antiques, decorative arts, and custom reproductions, selected with a point of view and supported by people who actually know the material.
