Blue Leather Wingback Dining Chairs are rare enough that the color does most of the introducing, an indigo leaning top grain hide stretched over a wing back that tops out at 46 inches. The grain shows through the dye, so the surface moves between navy and slate as the light shifts across it. The wings flare forward from the crest, which is what separates a true wingback from a tall upholstered side chair.

The frame carries a seat 21 inches wide and 26 inches deep, host chair scale meant for the ends of a table or, in enough sets, a full run down both sides. Wings this tall gather sound and block a draft the way the originals did beside a fire, and the height keeps the chair clearly visible above the tabletop even when it is pushed all the way in.

Blue leather is the unusual part, and it earns a room built around it: a dining room with paneled walls, a dark floor, brass lighting and a plain table that stays out of the way. One set at the head and foot of a long table gives the ends real weight. A single chair also works beside a desk or in a quiet library corner.

Color variation is common and acceptable on vintage leather.
