Description
This Ivory Book Set brings twelve volumes bound in shagreen-embossed leather to a shelf or a table, the pale cream covers carrying the fine pebbled grain the embossing is made to imitate. Because the twelve come in mixed sizes, the group reads as a collected library rather than a matched run of identical spines. Texture is the whole interest here, with no printing and no color to pull against it.
Each book measures 7 to 10 inches wide by 1 inch deep, with heights from 5 to 7 inches, and sizes vary across the twelve. That range is the point. Stack three or four on a coffee table as a riser for a bowl, run a row between bookends on a console, or scatter them over several shelves to break up a wall of printed hardbacks.
