The pebbled shagreen grain gives each spine a fine, granular texture that reads richly under lamplight and catches the light differently as you move past the shelf. The green runs consistently through the set, so the books look deliberate rather than assembled at random.
Sizes vary across the twelve, running 7 to 10 inches wide, 1 inch deep and 5 to 7 inches high, which lets them stack, lean and step down in height across a run of shelving. Lay several flat as a plinth under a bowl or a lamp, stand others upright between bookends, and spread the rest over a console, a nightstand and a low table in the same room.
