The Warm Brown Oak Expanding Jupe Dining Table - 85 1/2" runs its top in narrow angled strips that run out from the center in a geometric pattern. The effect is quiet. Warm brown oak gives the pattern something to hold onto, and the grain turns direction every few inches, so the surface keeps changing as the light moves across it.
Oak solids and veneers throughout, on an octagonal pedestal whose facets curve rather than cut. The top opens from 66 inches to 85 1/2 inches on a self-storing expansion mechanism built from extruded aluminum, so the leaves stay inside the table and the action stays smooth. Nothing gets carried to a closet.
A warm brown finish at this scale grounds a dining room instead of floating in it. Closed, it seats a family. Open, it takes a long holiday table without a second surface anywhere in sight, and at 30 inches high it works with any standard dining chair.
