The William & Mary Marquetry Cabinet on Chest stands out as a striking example of English Baroque design, with its bold shape and detailed decoration. Made from walnut and burl walnut, the upper cabinet opens with two doors to show a carefully arranged set of small drawers around a central cupboard, which was often used for storing documents or valuables. The front features intricate inlaid panels with swirling seaweed marquetry, adding depth and movement that reflect the style of late 17th-century English furniture.

The lower chest has two short drawers above two long ones, each decorated with more inlay and finished with cast brass hardware made using the lost wax method. A strong cornice tops the cabinet, and bracket feet give it a stable, balanced look. The lined interior, built-in slide, and multiple storage options show both elegance and practical design.
